A “Lost Decade” for The U.S. Economy? Fat Chance
Recently, Japanese bank analyst Gary Hopkinson of CLSA and Mike Mayo, Credit Agricole Securities banks analyst, held a conference call titled “Lessons from a Lost Decade.” The uptake? That while there may be similarities between the position of Japanese banks in the early 1990s and U.S. banks now, the U.S. isn’t going to be another Japan.
